Dr Ekansh Debuka

Leadership

Orthopaedic Surgeon | Foot and Ankle specialist | Debuka Hospital | Founder, Nurse Edge Bridge Course Program

Dr. Ekansh Debuka leads Debuka Hospital with a vision of delivering quality, ethical and patient-centred healthcare. As an Orthopaedic Surgeon and hospital leader, he is committed to combining modern medical practices with compassionate care, clinical excellence and a strong focus on patient safety. His leadership aims to create an environment where patients receive personalised treatment while healthcare professionals are encouraged to continuously learn, improve and uphold high standards of clinical practice.

Beyond patient care, Dr. Debuka is actively involved in healthcare education and professional development. Through the Nurse Edge Bridge Course Program, he works to support fresher nurses and nursing students by helping them bridge the gap between academic learning and practical clinical responsibilities. The programme focuses on strengthening foundational knowledge, developing practical nursing skills, improving clinical confidence and preparing learners to work more effectively in real healthcare settings.

His approach to leadership extends beyond the management of a healthcare institution. He believes that strong healthcare depends on well-trained, confident and responsible professionals who understand both the technical and human aspects of patient care. By promoting continuous learning, teamwork, discipline, ethical practice and professional development, he aims to contribute to a stronger healthcare ecosystem.

A key part of his long-term vision is to responsibly integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into healthcare and hospital systems to support better patient care, improve efficiency and assist healthcare professionals in making informed decisions. He envisions using technology to streamline hospital workflows, enhance patient education and follow-up, support clinical learning, and make healthcare delivery more organised and accessible—while keeping patient safety, privacy and human clinical judgement at the centre.

He also sees significant potential for AI-assisted nursing education and training. Through Nurse Edge Bridge Course Program, his vision is to introduce appropriate technology-based learning tools that can help nursing students and fresher nurses strengthen their knowledge, practise clinical reasoning, revise concepts and build confidence in a structured learning environment. The goal is not to replace teachers or clinical mentors, but to use AI as a supportive educational tool alongside expert guidance and hands-on clinical training.

Through his clinical work, hospital leadership, commitment to nursing education and vision for responsible healthcare technology, Dr. Ekansh Debuka strives to build a culture centred on quality healthcare, continuous learning, professional excellence, patient safety, responsible AI adoption and empowerment of the next generation of healthcare professionals.
